ABOUT
We’re Different.
Best Speakers. Inspiring. We started ISP for our interest in insurance technology as we wanted to learn, grow and be inspired by our peers and colleagues, just like our audience does. Whether Life, Health, P&C or other insurance, startups or mega-techs, VC investors, accelerators or regulators, carriers or MGAs, U.S. or global, our programming and audience covers the spectrum in a quickly evolving industry, with technology and innovation at its core. And, we have the best possible speakers we can find.
Not for Profit. We aren’t doing this to make money. Yeah, that’s right. We actually don’t make anything on the conference and are a volunteer effort. That’s why you may have noticed likely the lowest registration fee there is, at $185 which includes networking event, conference, breakfast and lunch, or perhaps super low sponsorship and exhibitor fees. We’re trying to cover our costs but that’s about it.
Single Stage. Unique. We’re in a 1000+ seat symphony-quality performing arts center and are inspired by TED Talks, compelling speakers and panels, and trying new and different approaches. That’s why you may have noticed our full 600 square-foot LED screen backdrop last year and a spaceship flying through on screen to introduce a speaker. Or, we're looking forward to Waymo and Swiss Re presenting on autonomous vehicles after we dialed up a Waymo for fun in Phoenix earlier this year. We even have a conference play list. And, well, we have socks - yes, we will also once again be providing our limited edition ISP socks to the first 500 people who register.
Speaking Time. We’ve been to conferences of all shapes and sizes, and, well, we get tuned out for any speaker going too long. We suspect you do too. So, we try to keep any single speaker to 20 minutes maximum on stage or a panel of no more than 45 minutes. We want to capture our talented speakers’ key points and keep our curated program moving to allow for 30+ speakers in a single day.
Networking. Our way. We’re about networking. There is so much talent and comraderie in our industry and we’re happy we can play a small role to connect people together. We have what we think is a unique networking event each year, as well as opportunities throughout the conference for meeting new people, building connections and enjoying each other’s company. We regularly hear attendees’ compliments for the ease of access to speakers and others for networking with our format and size. We even have an area during our morning break to meet leading state insurance commissioners. And no, they don’t bite. Quite the opposite - they want to hear and learn from you.
We’re Nebraska. As one of the leading insurance hubs, we think there’s something special about our industry. ISP helps bring industry together from around the world to the prairies of Nebraska. We hope you’ll experience some of the state’s hospitality while you’re here. We’re also proud of the scholarships we can provide for students at Nebraska universities to attend ISP at no cost.
Thank you. So thank you for considering our event, and even joining us. We think our unique approach and format is on to something and we’re happy to see our conference grow each year with record attendees and sponsors. In 2024 we drew a record number of attendees from 44 states and several countries. That’s not too bad for our fifth event. The best is yet to come. Please join us.
